Golf

The course at Ozaukee Country Club is legendary for its undulating and fast greens making it enjoyable on a day-to-day basis. The par 70 course features a 6,700 yard layout and 9 par 4 holes of over 400 yards each. The well-manicured and pristine grounds are located along the Milwaukee River in the heart of Mequon. Owing to its efforts to integrate natural habitats into the golf course terrain, Ozaukee Country Club was the first in the state to receive “full certification” for nature preservation from the New York Audubon Society.

Products of the same genre and school as Donald Ross and Robert Trent Jones, the landscape architects responsible for the Ozaukee Golf Course were William Langford and Theodore Moreau. Langford and Moreau planned over 100 golf courses across the country, notably Lawsonia Links. The Ozaukee Country Club Golf Course was originally designed links-style in 1922, with open fairways and plenty of visibility. Over the years however, the course has evolved and grown into a mature, traditional-style course and is a “must play” experience.

Ozaukee Country Club was recently the proud host of the 2014 Wisconsin State Amateur Tournament.
